11 Ways You’re Self-Sabotaging
One of the best books about personal growth I’ve read this year was Rianna West’s, “The Mountain is You.” It’s only 248 pages, but the simple and short bursts of wisdom delivered a lot of value.
Rianna compiles one of the best lists I have ever seen on self-sabotage that I think can really help. We all self-sabotage. We want to grow but we also want to be comfortable. So we may find these distractions and hiding places where we can procrastinate for the moment. Sometimes we stay there a bit too long though and get stuck.
1. You spend more time trying to impress people who don’t like you than you spend with people who love you for who you are
I placed this one at the top because it hit deep. I’ve always tried to make a lot of friends. I figure it would make me feel liked and successful. I wanted to find people who presented exciting opportunities and could make me look good.
