Workplace frustration affects nearly everyone. Many of us are looking to grow by doing something new, exciting, and that pays more. Except no one else comes and tells us that our current position is at a dead end. Truly, only we can tell ourselves that. But you may be doubting…if I just stick around a little longer, will something happen? What should I do? Here are three signs you may want to jump ship.

3. You’re not getting opportunities

There are people who want opportunities to grow at their workplace but don't actively make any attempts to let it be known.

However, even more often, you made it known. You’ve talked with your manager about it. You’ve applied internally but received no callbacks. If you did get an interview, you weren't selected. You’ve tried for years, but still nothing.

While no one will tell you, you may have painted yourself into a corner. You may have built a reputation for doing one thing well and there’s a vested interest in keeping you where are. You may have pissed off the wrong person, be dealing with an indignant gatekeeper, or just battling to fit into the ol’ “boys club.”
