1. Food

Whenever I talk to someone about what they most miss about America, it’s always the food. When I ask more about it, the answer is usually some fast-food option. The less it nourishes you, the more we seem to like it. I’m not some tight-ass that hates fast food, but how Americans tribalize and worship fast-food places seems as unhealthy as the nutritional content there within.

One of the places I really despise is Chick-fil-a. I’ve heard countless people say something like, “I know the owners are these hardcore Christians that are against abortion and gays but the chicken sandwiches are sooooooo GOOD!” It’s a freaking chicken sandwich. Two pieces of bread and a piece of meat. This can be made in 5 minutes. Not only are people willing to support something that goes against their beliefs, but it's all for a mediocre sandwich.

BBQ places- In every town I visit, someone can’t wait to suggest that I go to some hyped-up BBQ joint. What happens? I wait in a giant line to pay $30 for an aluminum platter with two pieces of meat and some slaw on it. Yes, I appreciate that this took a lot of time to prepare, but it’s not typically very consistent or over-the-top in flavor. American men are too obsessed with brisket and it's a real mystery to me. It’s a mediocre cut, a sirloin cap or tri-tip is better than any brisket I’ve ever…
