5 Pieces of Wisdom That Are Bullshit
Wisdom is bullshit.
A series of platitudes we use in order to give us hope that things will work out, even though they probably won’t. They are certainly used to connect us together on common ground, but they don't ultimately serve us. We grip a bit too tightly to these sayings, not just because they perpetuate our denial, but make us look like we know what we are talking about. It all leads to us and others remaining stuck where we are. Let’s talk a look:
“What comes around goes around”
There are terrible people who do evil things their whole life and are never punished. I have met countless people who are angels and continue to drown in suffering throughout their life. This karmic statement is misleading and just seems like a remnant of some religiosity that delusionally promised us the vengeance for the inequality we encounter.
Yes, people who commit crimes are punished when caught, but many are never caught. They just go on living their lives. Reconciliation and retribution are scarce in our life. The people who wronged you will…
