Wisdom

Whenever anything happens, wisdom seeks to come in and assert itself retroactively. Want to do something right? “Measure twice and cut once.” Mess up badly? “You need to break a few eggs to make an omelet.”

See what I mean? Wisdom never appears accountable when it’s wrong, it only comes into play when what the wisdom foretold comes true. And then it gets reinforced by those who want to seem wise, continuing its relevance despite its shoddy foundations in logic.

The lamest one I can think of is, ‘Everything happens for a reason.” What does that even mean?

Watch out for people sharing wisdom, they may just be trying to impress you. But why is the question? Constantly experiment and seek out answers, but be wary of bearded men pretending to stay profound things.

Politeness

A basic set of manners is universally respected across cultures, businesses, and relationships. Hello, goodbye, thank you. But especially in America, there is an over-politeness that acts as a shield of fakeness between people. People are just pretending to be nice because they are terrified of actually connecting with another human being. Just do something against the other person’s interest or…
