5 Reasons the Right is Losing

1. Foggy Glasses

A lot of people like to call the Right fascist. I don’t think it deserves to be put at that level. Fascism, while terrible, typically has a clear vision and goals it wants to achieve. The Right nowadays doesn’t seem to have a coherent vision at all. It just seeks to undermine and stick it to anyone who does.

Instead of attacking everyone, it should think of its new vision for world order. If I am being cynical, it doesn't genuinely want to, so it can keep the Left around as its punching bag and convenient scapegoat. Without attacking what the other side holds dear, it would lack orientation and be lost.

The only vision I can think of the Right having recently was its bold anti-immigration stance and the Wall that Trump built. I didn't agree with the policy or vote for it, but I understood it. They don't want people coming here.

Dear Right: Think about who you want to be and what you want the world to look like.

2. Cui bono?

Republicans need to ask themselves this more often. Cui bono is is an old Latin saying that means “Who benefits?” Once you drill down on who really benefits from your decisions, you’ll find you may not…
