5 Things That Ruined This Year

One of the toughest things to do after a year like this is….be shocked anymore. I’m going to take a shot at least. Here we go.

1. Celebrity Meats

A company called BiteLabs is developing “celebrity meats.” They sell salami and sausage that is half-animal and half-human. The human part is stem cell tissue collected from celebrities such as Kanye, James Franco, Ellen Degeneres, and Jennifer Lawrence.

What a strange way to introduce cannibalism into society.

2. Sarco Suicide Pod

Switzerland has recently approved a suicide machine called a “Sarco pod”. It’s a pod which someone can unalive themself if they wish, and is controllable internally using a series of blinks. The machine replaces the pod’s oxygen with nitrogen, allowing a peaceful demise. The pod then turns into a detachable coffin for convenience.

While there is a justified demand for those who insist on assisted suicide due to a medical condition, its popularity uncomfortably hints at an apocalyptic…
