Being confident is not about being talented, awesome, or even right. At the same time, it doesn't depend on being delusional or having some “fake it to you make it” attitude. While it’s not easy, it's quite simple. Check out these pointers on being confident all the time:
1. Don't be so reactive
Don't feel like you need to provide some reaction or answer for everything.
Stay silent under pressure. Take a pause to think about what's happening before reacting or answering. If there’s not a solid answer that you feel is applicable, just do nothing, or say that you don't know. Don't feel rushed into doing anything.
If someone insults you, you don’t need to return fire. Just let it be. Let them figure it out. That’s the key to be not being so reactive, not everything that happens leaves a gap to be filled. You can self-soothe and press on without fixing everything in the universe.
It’s impossible to have all the answers and fix all of the world's problems, get comfortable with doing your best.
