I got five easy tips for you if you want to be more professional. It’s going to sound contradictory, even like satire, but I assure you that if you follow these five steps, you’ll stay employed or move up in no time.
1. Don’t disagree but be a free thinker
Don't say things like “No” to your manager or leadership. Certainly don't disagree with your manager in front of higher leadership. Instead of saying “no” or disagreeing, ask for support or questions that will feed their ego. It’s best to ask questions or show concern privately rather than saying anything negative around the group. It will show you care, but you don't want to make a “big thing” of it. Think but obey. Great ideas are best kept inside until they are actually wanted or needed.
2. Be innovative without taking risks
Doing something too risky, like going against company policies, procedures, or designated roles could make your management accountable to their higher-ups, especially when it doesn't pay off.
