The “Breathwave” is in full force. Quarantine has left many anxious and alone at home this year, with countless breathing regimens taking the “at-home wellness” world by storm. Breathwork collectives, seminars, and books have sprouted up and are spreading like wildfire. A lot of them carry a mystique, only being “unlocked” with purchasing proper training and study materials. Going through most of them, I am here to save you some money and break it down to you so you can start today.

First of all, what is breathwork? It’s a loose term for breathing rhythms, when practiced, create an enhanced state of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. There is several different techniques which cause a variety of different effects, namely, calming down, going to sleep, waking up, going deep, or getting focused. I wasn’t really able to meditate until I discovered breathwork, because it is very useful in getting you into a present state where you can stop thinking.
