These Things Are Trashy If You’re Poor, But Classy If You’re Rich
There is clearly a classist divide in this country, just look at how different the same thing can appear depending on who does it. In my first article, I wrote 5 things that are classy if you’re rich, but trashy if you’re poor. But there are soooo many more. Let’s take a look:
Having livestock
If you live out in the country, you probably have chickens, cows, pigs, horses, etc., out of necessity. You don't have much money or education most likely, but have plenty of space to grow and raise your own food in order to survive.
Rich people discovered farm food is the best because it doesn't get messed with like the food we receive from the agro-industrial complex in stores. These same people don't want to leave their cities and get their hands dirty with the work needed to raise their own meat though. At first, the demand came through in stores and restaurants in the form of “farm-to-table”. For only $28 you could get access to some farm-raised chicken and know its name and origin, without having to kill it of course.
Then they actually started to move out to the countryside located on the outskirts of major cities. They got all kinds of animals, not because they need to, but…
