Based on lots of research, even way before the pandemic, it is clear that young unmarried men are having a lot less sex. The sexual activity of married men, unmarried women, and gay males all have stayed constant through recent years according to this article. Why are young males 18–25 having less sex?

Because of the internet, women have the most dating options in human history. A lot of dating occurs via dating apps, accessing women to a wide selection of potential suitors. Hundreds of these suitors are messaging them looking for sex. It has made women even more selective about who they want to date. They can easily filter those with the best job, looks, or personality traits, and even unicorns who have all three. It is a buyer's market for women. Supply and demand. There are just so many men to pick from. Naturally, it will make women want to pick the best and not being as open to just dating anyone, leaving a large section of men expendable.
Women are more emotionally mature than men, so naturally they may pursue men who are older, because…they have their shit together. So if 25 year old women are prone to look for 35+ years old men, then what will 25 year old men do? Go for 15 year olds? Not just creepy, illegal.
