We’ve all been there. We want to write on Medium but we can't think of anything to talk about. I got lucky for a while, just having a lot of topics that I wanted to share my perspective on. But eventually, I stumbled to find a new topic. Motivation runs on inspiration, but inspiration is rarely guaranteed on-tap over time. I decided to research new methods to cure my writer’s block and found three helpful options.

1. Reddit

Reddit is full of thousands of threads, all of which contain hundreds of different responses. You can discover hot topics you never thought of before that are asked by and answered by real people, often even backed with articles and research.

If you don't have a specific thread/topic in mind, just go to the main Reddit page and see what’s trending.

Recently, I discovered a great thread about how younger males are having less sex while other demographics have not been affected. The thread featured numerous informative responses and made me think about why I thought that was. I talked to my wife about it, put together some ideas, and the article, “Why Are Young Men Having Less Sex?” was born. This is something I would have never thought to write about before!
